OOC: How many of us can fight the worm in the passage at once?
If it is only one or two, then I suggest we fall back to the large room where we can make our numbers count against it... but was there someone who can't enter the large room at all?
On the other hand, maybe the fear of facing a 15HD purple worm alone will outweigh the fear of entering the room which has already been explored by the company

Gallaine holds The Green Sword aloft and shouts something defiant in an ancient tongue, and then charges valiantly at the worm as it squeezes through the doorway.
At the last moment she leaps at it, and with both hands upon the hilt attempts to drive the sword through its tiny brain.

Gallaine's sword pulses an incredibly strong green light that washes out everybody's sight, and when vision returns, you see the worm has been cloven in two. It thrashes around in its death throes, but can not harm you now

Gallaine cleans and caresses the blade of The Green Sword lovingly singing a victory song to it softly in Elvish as she does so.
Once its needs have been seen to, she tells the others "The blades made of old are greater and more glorious than the simple things crafted now by Man or Orc..."

Yhency's jaw drops several times as he tries to say something, but words do not come out. Finally he regains his composure and says, "Let's go ahead and clear out more of this level. We're invincible."
