Folks who have closely examined the Adventurer Conqueror King PDF are hip to the fact that Autarch is helping jamesm Kickstart the publication of Dwimmermount. He has been very gentlemanly about waiting to start talking about this until it won't steal spotlight from ACKS, but behind the scenes we are all hugely excited to get Dwimmermount out there.
One of the exciting things that you're hearing first is that we are working with Jeff Dee to create the iconic image that will be featured on the Kickstarter page. (Expect to see some great pieces from Mark Allen as well!)
The image we're looking for will be full-color, reproduce well at Kickstarter's format of 560 wide x 420 tall, and might also be the panel art for the book's back cover. The best TSR module covers are good examples because they show a scene of adventure that you as a viewer can imagine taking part in, and captures a few of the things that make this particular scenario unique.
As we were talking about this, James suggested:
something more action-oriented -- a fight, for example. The difficulty there is in settling on a particular location or opponent that is in some representative of the whole dungeon complex. That's hard because Dwimmermount is large and varied. Plus, some of its most interesting locales I'd like to keep hidden until people actually play through the dungeon -- I don't want to spoil the thing
This made me think that the best possible action scene for Jeff to illustrate would be one we've already experienced as players in the PbP game. This way it'll contain no spoilers, it'll reflect our own sense of what makes Dwimmermount unique, and how cool will it be to see Jeff's take on a scene we've each imagined in our mind's eye?
So the question is, what scene from the Dwimmermount PbB (either group) is most vividly encapsulates your experience within its halls?
