Very nice, Zenopus. Thank you for putting this together.

I need to thank austrodavicus (formerly greyharp) for giving me the idea to use Google Sites for my website. Last fall I came across a post of his in this 2009 thread that mentioned how easy it was to use, and that got me started.

Nice website Zenopus! Good stuff there. You mention Homes other writings, are you intending to put up anything about the other Holmes game in his "Fantasy Role Playing Games"? I have a re-implementation of that on the Brave Halfling forums you might or might not be interested in.

Yes, I think that game deserves its own page on my website. Do you have a link for your work on BHP? I just searched the forums for Holmes and only came up with one thread about Mycroft Holmes. :)

Long ago, I wrote a short overview of it on Dragonsfoot. I remember a substantial thread here about it called Holmes' Other System, with lots of interesting ideas for expanding the system.

BHP has a forum for Holmes's game in Fantasy Role Playing Games (H.O.G.)

Thanks, bluskreem. I missed that. It looks it continues the discussions/material from the thread here.

I've revised the B1 page on my website. A significant addition is a link to a fantastic B1 Sourcebook compilation assembled by paleologos.

That be the one. I'll cross post the download link if necessary :)
My version gives you a choice between races as well as classes. It presents a framework for magic, similar to some other ones that were suggested, but no additional spells. I fiddled with the combat numbers slightly to make them more usable, it still uses 2d6. There are some guidelines for monster creation that make it a bit easier than pluckong numbers out of nowhere, and a short method for generating random treasure. There's then a bunch of optional rules; money and equipment lists and hirelings, an alternative saving throw mechanic based on 2 dice, different combat tables and about 3 different systems for experience. Not that I use experience in my games, I prefer that the way it is. It played rather well! It makes only small playability changes to the rules themselves, whilst attempting to provide useful tools and options.

Oh yeah, the second half contains a complete scifi variant where players are a salvage team raiding a space hulk, with a nifty psionics system and Ice Pirates style robot hirelings (you pay them off on finance).

What is this supplement supposed to do? Is it an add-on to play Blue Book characters in Delving Deeper or something like that? (Kind of like Original Edition Characters for Labyrinth Lord.)
Thanks for the info!

Yes. Blue Book will be a supplement, not a complete set of rules, and will aim to recreate a Blue Book style of play with the basic DD rules set.

That B1 Sourcebook is freakin' fantastic! Now, if only there was one for B2 . . .

I have to really thank Zenopus for posting the link. It was a fun project, but we didn't have any further concrete plans for it, otherwise.

And incidentally, there is indeed a working draft for a B2 campaign sourcebook, but I'll need a solid block of time between real life projects before I can finish it.

Revised the Jim Roslof Art Bibliography on the site today.

It's located under the Artists of Holmes Basic section.

Here's another Holmes Basic adventure, the Maze of Nuromen, by J.B. over at The Forbidden Mazes of the Jennerak.

Maze of Nuromen is a brillant adventure. My group is going through it right now. It could be for any game system really since the designer hasn't listed any critter stats. Highly recommended.
