I am working on some very large projects for my games, getting in the prepatory mode but when I am finished I will share. One project I am about to commence is a large, hexagonal grid map tapestry. While doing some researching about the viability of bed sheets as art canvas, I stumbled across this very cool site where apparently you can upload your images and they will create a mural for you. There is a price generator where you upload your image and the size you want and it will tell you the cost. There are 3 options of material. Going with the cheapest material, I checked the price for a 5'x8' Mural of Middle Earth and it was a little over $200.00--which I would pay in a heartbeat if I but had it! Play with the sizes and images generator and maybe you can get a good map for your games this way. Really, you could create a hexagonal terrain image, send it to them, and have a huge flat war game surface--imagine an entire dungeon plan! When you reach the page look for the "Create Your Own" tab on the menu. Here is the link: www.muralsyourway.com/my-image/?sr=3448

Nifty, but expensive. They probably have a problem with making murals of other's IP. I would love a mural of the Judges Guild Blackmoor map, but that would be too much and I wouldn't know where to put it.
