I don't know if anyone recalls this, but, when Chaosium's Different Worlds magazine was first conceived, one of its main features -- from which it derived its name, at least partially -- was going to be a column in which a "name" in the hobby talked about his home campaign and how he used the rules of the game to which it was connected. Seems to me that Fight On! might benefit from a short feature in which an author talks about his campaign and, more importantly, how he interprets various rules within it.
The benefit I see is threefold:
1. It's inspirational to read about other people's campaigns. 2. It nicely highlights the diversity of OD&D (or old school gaming generally) 3. It eliminates some of the need for variant rules articles by showing how the existing rules can be tweaked to establish a particular feel.
Thoughts?

I think that's a great idea. I would especially like it if we could work out a standard article format to make comparing across campaigns easier.

Format could follow the Supp. I (Greyhawk) ordering of subjects.

I am like 1000% in favor of this idea. I've been thinking about something similar. Such columns would be accepted instantly from anyone currently running a game. I know someone I could ask for a submission, but if someone wants to beat me to it, that's great!

It was a long time ago that James suggested this, but it's still a great idea.
Also, if you have a website detailing your campaign or games run within, let me know about it. Thanks!

I'm currently working on publishing y own campaign, in several books. During 27 years, I played in several worlds, including some 'offical' ones, and several games & editions, but with common themes, moods and feelings, so it's not to difficult to mix all this material in the same world. So, the first volume (60 pages), in a country based on Italian renaissance, will be published soon - in french, sorry.

My Labyrinth Lord campaign of a year and change is pretty well-documented over on the Archive of the Rotted Moon. It contains everything from session reports, character sheets, house rules, photos, illustrations, and even video. It hasn't been updated in a while as I've not been running Labyrinth Lord, but I intend to return to this one day (probably once Stonehell 2 is finished and gone).

I write a little bit about my setting, mingled with house rules and class variants, under the "9and30" tag on my blog.
http://9and30kingdoms.blogspot.com/search/label/9and30
... But the 9 and 30 Kingdoms setting is heavily improvised within a general framework, so there's not much set in stone. The background of the Church of Urizen (and the Ahanian infidels) or the Chaos Druids is evolving during play. Plus, I'm thinking of doing a zine, which will probably be about the setting, so I'm not sure whether I could do a Fight On! article on it or not.
