Using Magne as a stepstool, Brennus climbs up to the trap door and gives it a good shove. The paint between the trapdoor seams cracks and falls to the floor. The hinges are well oiled, and the door tips over with a flop. From the light of the torch within the elevator, Brennus espies a large, ornate wooden chest atop the elevator to his left.

It appears that the elevator shaft goes up two additional landings.

Brennus does not open the chest, but rather calls down for a torch-light so that he may inspect the elevator shaft. "I found a chest, and the shaft continues two more levels." Does he see light coming from either of the two landings?

The outline of two doors dimly shine above him. Apart from that, light is scarce.

The word "chest" gets Actæa's immediate attention. She hops around Magne and the raised Brennus like a small child trying to get a good view through the window of a particularly enticing sweet shop...

If someone passes her a torch she will hand it on up to Brennus.

Magne looks at Actæa quizzically... (but then, Magne looks at most things quizzically, doesn't he?)

"You want up there, too? Or... have to go to bathroom?"

He indicates that he can give her a boost up, if she so requires.

"Up if you please, Magne," says Actæa, and she allows her giant companion to raise her up to join Brennus.

Once there, and once a torch has arrived, she will begin a thorough investigation of the chest for any sign of traps.

Yngvar keeps an eye out for anything unusual while the others investigate the area above.
