(OOC: Can Radiated Eyes light a fire a la Superman?)

Well the description doesn't show what sort of Radiation, so I think its fair to assume this is whacky B-Movie style radiation, and anything the average person thinks you can do with radiation can be done. I'm going to say yes, but anyone within ten feet is going to have to resist as per the table.

12. Radiated Eyes: The power to focus radiation through the lens of the eyes to emit a damaging blast of radiation with an intensity of 10 on the radiation chart This power is limited to once every 4 melee turns and has an effective range of 10 yards.

"Hey! Watch it with them things!" Poke jumps back, and looks around the side of the building to see if there is any other way in.

OOC: OK, I will retro-post then. Please imagine this occurs prior to Thorswulf's reaction. ;)

IC:

Roger, frustrated at the darkness and not being able to tell by smell whether there's anyone inside, focuses his eyes on the ground about six feet inside the roundhouse and the surface begins to smolder. He tries to start a small fire, but if nothing catches, he will throw something flammable in.

Ok, so just to put it all together, Poke is going to go around the side (near the shattered shed?), and we'll assume he's taking Octavia with him, meat is standing outside the window, and Roger is trying to create some sort of fire in the middle of the kitchen to see get some sort of light into the room?

If that's all good then here we go, roger is able to set the remains of a kitchen table ablaze, the fire isn't very large yet, but burns brightly enough to fill the upper half of the room with smoke, you can see just under the smoke-line that the shelves on the opposite side of the room seem closed, and may contain something. After a few minutes of the building fire you see an eery blue light blink on the roof and a large klaxon sounding loudly, followed by a voice "Fire, Fire, Move to safety, Emergency services are en rout."

"Oh!" remarks Roger. He lumbers inside, looking for loot. "Will someone please smother the fire?"

Poke and meat can hear roger calling for help from their positions. Do either of you move to assist?

Meat will do what he can to extinguish the blaze, providing he can gain entry. He might not fit through the window.

Meat is pretty meaty, but not somuch as to not fit inside a standard roundhouse window.

meat begins beating out the flames using branches from the larger tree's outside the roundhouse, slowly but surely beating out the fire, and also slowly beating out the light casting you in darkness. Rodger continues to rifle through the canisters, finding most full of decayed old foodstuffs (inedible) but one is full of some sort of cracker that seems to have weathered the ages of disuse (something akin to hard tack).

Poke and Octavia are working their way around the building. Unless you post otherwise.

The klaxons and recording continue to play anyways, demanding the attention of a "Fire Service" whatever that may be. Also you hear some noise originating from the doorway into the room. There appears to be something in the next room.

Are there any embers or wood handy? Meat would try to fashion some sort of torch, if he can do so without burning himself, and examine the next room. If he hears anything moving toward the door of this room, he'll camouflage, in a corner if possible.

[ETA - I guess he has some tree branches]

Poke mumbles, "Now what?" And continues around to investigate the shed.

Poke and Octavia arrive at the shed, as described before the doors are bashed in, and there is a practically destroyed robot of some sort, festooned with old gardening tools. Various pellets and composts have fallen from the tubes which once fed the robot with new supplies, and cover the ground around the base of the machine. The shed is on the reverse side of the roundhouse with relation to the front door, and the window is about half way between the two.

Inside the house Meat has successfully beaten the fire down to a small pile of flickering coals, and has managed to fashion a crude torch from the branches, although without any sort of oil or fabric it won't stay burning for long, and it emits thick purple smoke as it burns, but you don't mind the smoke, in fact the smoke smells kinda nice.....

Rodger makes his way to the pantry and finds shelves of unopened cans, the contents of some cans rattle, while others make sloshing sounds, and the heaviest cans make no sounds at all. There is no built-in way to pop open those cans.

The sounds from the other room intensify, its as if something is struggling against a great weight, and eventually succumbing to it as the weight falls back into place, only to repeat again. You can also see that, in addition to the lights from the alarm there is another set of multicolored lights coming through the doorway.

Poke looks around for something that can be used as a weapon, even if he has to wrench it off of the robot.

Meat carries the torch to the doorway to see what can be seen in the next room from that vantage point, using the side of the doorway as cover as best as possible.

Roger begins carrying armloads of artifacts outside. If there's anything he can use as a basket, he will.

OOC: Sorry, I'm not getting alerts of new posts.
