He did indeed begin to roll up a new character while we killed the spider.

I've emailed him to get his name and basic char info, so hopefully I'll get some more info to add to our summary.

It happened so quickly and at the same time, our group needed to concentrate on our own lives rather than be too concerned about the dead guy!!

What are Gary's House Rules?

They were pretty simple.

2nd lvl chars. Roll 4d6 drop lowest - re-roll 1s.

Fighters with STR > 15 get +1 to hit and +1 to damage.

Any weapon or armor - not recalling the starting GPs for a 1st lvl fighter, but I'll assume a 2nd lvl fighter would have accumulated enough gold for me to have purchase plate.

I believe the casters got an extra spell.

I'm still hoping for more input on the particulars from the other gamers.

Haha, I tried just for practice for the first 1/2 hour or so.

Actually, Narl did most of the mapping and at one time briefly handed it to Joe Damiani with some help from another guy.

Even those 3 had some confusion and at one point we had to sort of retrace our steps and act in character to get ourselves oriented.

The map was complex to say the least.

Any chance that one of them could scan their map?
