Since we're not playing face-to-face, I just have to say: I'm really not trying to take over---it's Romeo the Mercenary. He just assumes his own superiority...

Hadi assumes it's easier to ignore Romeo than to argue with him. ;)

I've been feeling a bit under the weather today, but hopefully I'll be able to continue the game tomorrow.

Burke -

What's the plan for Black Jacques now? Is he going to become a NPC? Henchman? Man-at-arms?

I hadn't noticed that geordie had left the board (sucks to have him leave because of a misunderstanding). Black Jacques will be a NPC for now, tagging along silently. He'll leave for France if you get back to oasis.

That does suck! The only other European in the party, too... Ah well.

On another note, I find it hilarious that almost the first thing we did was split up the party... :)

I've noticed that happens a lot in old-school play - I think I posted about it once. I find it fun, and hopefully it won't drive our awesome DM crazy (handling splits may be one thing PbP can do better than tabletop).

Oh, I agree. Plus, I think this is playing out just about how it would for an actual motley crew like we have! :)

I just want to know what Hadi's gonna do when the screaming starts...
