 My own OD&D single-volume set vol. 2.0
« Thread Started on Apr 15, 2012, 10:02am »

Few years ago I bought a legal PDF-version of OD&D (5th print I guess) published by WotC. I was using 3LBB as electronic copy, but finally I said I want to have it physically.
Then, I printed three books at home and gave them to my familiar bookbinder (he works at old pre-war maschines from Poland and Germany).
Effect is awesome for me. I made up my mind about simply old-fashioned disign, exactly as I like.
I know my version doesn't looks equally to original printing, but I'm really proud of my copy.

I hate to "me, too" but, as a bibliophile (my dream home would be tiny and cramped with the exception of a library crammed with books) I find that book to be a beautiful work.

I'd gladly pay a buffalo nickel for one of those ...

Nice job! Now print out the Balrog Reference Sheet (linked here) and tuck it in the back. ;)

The Balrog entry was right where that Tom Wham cartoon is in your picture above.

Thanks for positive opinions, gentlemen.
Yeah, I know the story of this cartoon in 5th print, I regret to have 5th not 1st printing, but... Well, we all know that 5th is much more available.

edit: 'your' Balrog Reference Sheet is cool!

I love my OD&D booklets, but this book is a work of art and I'd be proud too if I had it in my bag. I took my 5th PDFs and printed them and had them made into booklets just like the originals. I was pretty proud myself. My only regret is that my two authentic OD&D booklet sets are 3rd print with balrogs, ents, and hobbits and now my recreation does not match the rules I play with.

What can I say that hasn't been said? This is a really nice project ... It's a shame something like this isn't available unless on custom order though. The only change I would have made would have been opting for a black cover. Great Job!
