I breezed through Half Price Books yesterday and managed to find:
-the all-in-one of the Lando novels (have never read the 3rd book) - a pre-prequel "Star Wars Illustrated" book - Splinter of the Mind's Eye (never read) - Truce at Bakura (I know, EU but still pre-prequel and I hope to make Bakura important in my campaign)
They had the Han Solo 3-in-1 novel but I already have that.
And when I got home, in the mail I got the first volume of the Dark Horse "Omnibus" reprint of the SW comics... I only had the first issues (that re-tell the movie) so I'm looking forward to seeing what you all have been raving about I'm not big on gerbs, but I'm taking the august advice of the sages hereabouts...

I've never visited a Half-Price Books store, but that sounds like a great find!
As a side note, if Truce at Bakura is the book I'm thinking of I don't remember liking it much when I read it. Seems like the plot was too obvious or contrived or something like that. (It's been a loooong time.)

I just finished it last week; you're not wrong. There really wasn't much mineable info in the book (at least no more than was in the WEG sourcebook). Not a bad read, not unreadable, but not really recommendable.

I used to have a lot of Star Wars books, but I have since pared it down to the original trilogy novelizations, the Solo books, the Lando books, Splinter, and collected volumes of the early Marvel comics and Al Williamson comic strips. That's my Star Wars library, as far as fiction is concerned.

Well off-topic, but HPB are generally cool stores, worth visiting if you can! I don't have one in my area, but when I went on vacay a couple months ago I picked up quite a few classic Dungeoneer, White Dwarf and Dragon mags, all priced between .99 and 1.99 each!

I find a lot of great books at used books stores. Somehow, it feels like the recession has been good to these stores.
I know a lady how has been cleaning-up her apartment, and have been giving away stuff left and right (I think she is a hoarder), and she gave me 2 boxes worth of SW books (some 40 or so books, some are repeats). It was quite a haul! A mix of old and new. Of all of them, I find Han Solo at Stars' End to be the most interesting. Everything else is good or OK. I never really cared about Han the family-man, nor his bratty kids. Its a really fine collection.
