Starships and Spacemen (FGU, 1978) « Thread Started on Jun 25, 2012, 3:22am »
Does anyone have any (tabletop- or plain reading-) experience using this Old School SciFi RPG based strongly on Star Trek TOS? Is it worth getting in PDF from drivethru?

thanx, mate! Are there any copies of the first print still available? I'd ask over there but I'm not registered...yet.
My stock is lower, but yep I still have some. At this point they at $12 + shipping. I have everything packed at the moment because I'm moving in a few days, but I can send one if interested probably by the end of the first week in July.

This is an extremely fun and very old-school game. I picked it up at a thrift store in the early 80's for a dollar and it was the best dollar I spent in my life. The setting very obviously invokes a Star Trek setting, while still giving a nod to many other classic SF series. The rules are a bit simplistic, but they are easy to modify or more depth if you want. Back in the day this was my go-to SF game, even more so than Traveller. At our peak, our group was running three different S&S campaigns, all set in different eras of the same universe, and loosely connected by the ship Void Raven that was home to each group.
