This is certain to be funded, at several times the minimum level:

I am surprised to see no comment here as this seems like a high profile successful kickstarter. I just happened to come across a mention on someone's (don't recall where exactly) blog.

I have to admit some confusion----don't we already have S&W Whitebox? How different can this be? I mean, more power to Matt and crew, and I love the idea of seeing this in stores, but what am I missing?

There are three levels of Swords & Wizardry: whitebox, core, and complete.
This is the "Complete" version of Swords & Wizardry. It incorporates a lot of rules and concepts from the OD&D supplements and taking the whole game in the direction of AD&D. Basically an advanced OD&D.
This is the same book that was available about a year ago. There were some real problems with the physical presentation of the book, the printers didn't exactly ring the bell with their quality control (though I was apparently lucky and got one of the good copies).
This newer version will be bound at the same level of quality as the original AD&D books and, it is to be hoped, last just as long.
I hope that helps.

That does indeed help, thanks!
However, given that info, I have to say that I think the kick starter description is still confusing, but that's probably just me...

I think three versions all bearing the same name is a bit confusing. Considering, however, how successful Mythmere Games and Frog God have been with the line? I should probably not say anything!
For the record, here is a breakdown of the various editions ...
S&W: Whitebox - exactly what it sounds like, this is an emulation of the TLBBs in the OD&D boxed set. Our very own Marv "Finarvyn" Breig, the moderator of this fine forum, scribed this version.
S&W: Core - an emulation of the TLBBs plus some select rules from the GH supplement. IIRC this is the version Matt (Mythmere) runs for his home campaign.
S&W: Complete - everything but the kitchen sink. Many of the usable rules from the OD&D line, making this version of the game play somewhat nearer to FEAD&D than OD&D.

Hey guys, just an FYI, there is now an SRD site (online rules) for Swords & Wizardry Complete. You can find it at http://www.d20swsrd.com or http://www.swordsNwizardry.com. This has been set up by request from Frog God Games so it is 100% legit. Check it out and if you like it be sure to buy some of their adventures or other products.
