Well, not surprisingly, I'd agitate for Minneapolis. This is, however, in part because I'd be happy to organize the event. Minneapolis is big enough to have a wide selection of possible sites and small enough for them not to be ridiculously expensive. Plus, it's, geographically speaking, just about dead center of the continent, in case any wish to travel from the Eastern or Western Marches.

Well, okay, so it's maybe not the center of the U.S... :)

Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight?

A man may do both. For not we but those who come after will make the legends of our time. The green earth, say you? That is a mighty matter of legend, though you tread it under the light of day! —J.R.R. Tolkien

I'm in England. Specifically, Burnham, Buckinghamshire. That's in the Thames valley, not far from Windsor and Slough.

That pretty much rules out the entire Midwest until May! ;)
Des Moines is just about as bad as Minneapolis right now (though we are a bit closer to the center of the US ;D). I'm actually heading up to Minneapolis tomorrow to meet my cousin for a weekend of AD&D 1st. It will be truly old school as he hasn't DM'd since the late '80s and he never went past 1st edition AD&D.

Ah! I've driven up to Lake Geneva for Gary Con and even though last year it snowed it wasn't that bad!

Des Moines or Davenport wouldn't be that bad now that you mention it.

Good luck with the gaming!
