 27th edition platemail
« Thread Started on Feb 21, 2012, 9:06am »

I hadn't noticed this mentioned on the board so I thought I'd pass it along. I just found thus a few days ago. It's sort of a reimagined chainmail fleshed out as a role playing game. Pretty interesting stuff.

I prefer the 26th edition. These days Platemail plays just like Pong.

Nestled before you is a peaceful Goblin Village, whose destiny is to be slaughtered by ruthless adventurers.

I refereed Platemail twice last year. Character generation is very funny (although, one may want to let re-roll absolutely useless characters), the skirmish and duelling combat systems are easy to handle, and the spells (along with the rules for casting them) are gorgeous. I can only recommend it.

This looks like a good giggle. An exalt for the OP.

At last I can have a one-hit-wonder!

There has been an update to the rules and first level characters don't fall over quite so quickly now.

Is there a good place to find the latest version of these rules? The Yahoo group seems to be inactive.

I've been scouring the internet for a month or so now, trying to find any updates or contact the original creator, and it seems this is the latest version still. I joined this board specifically to see if anyone else has any leads on this? I'm rather taken with this game and I'd love to see it completed.
