OK, to be in sync with how I see actions, I'm going to give the cube initiative, since you're rummaging around his pack while it's still trying to eat you. However, should you continue to live a charmed life, as you have been... you might make it out alive!

Initiative:
Party - 4
Monster - 4

Simultaneous. So you both have a strike...

Round 17 -

The creature is only able to make a single pseudopod attack on you, which you dodge while pulling out Asa's gun from his holster and realizing.. it's a stun gun! (Look at his character sheet... :o)

Firing the gun, you mistime your aim and the electrodes fly uselessly into the air and tinktinktink off the wall. You see he has one Taser left in the other holster...

Chicchan sighs, "Asa..." and shakes his head as he pulls out his Kukri and swings at the cube with its razor sharp blade.

Round 18

Initiative
Party - 4
Creature - 6

Chicchan resorts to the final option, his knife, against this strange and deadly creature that has backed him up against the wall. In his haste to pull out his knife, Chicchan misses and the creature is unable to muster enough of it's mass to hit Chicchan as he darts about.

Sam and Lark's bodies are now turning to mush and their bones are dissolving. The metal of their weapons and items remain intact.

(I took the initiative of rolling ahead the next few rounds for initiative and combat. If you wish to break off and run, we'll say that the following did not happen. If you're sticking it out for the long haul, then read on! It's not a pretty sight though... the final rolls that I had run through - initiative/to hit/damage - reveal that this ends in a TPK...)

The next few minutes are a series of hacks and blows, with the creature slapping its one psuedopod ineffectively against your leather armor and your knife incapable of finding enough of the creature to cause it any harm. Then, you slip and the pseudopod hits you smack in the face, causing your head to bash into the floor. (5 hp of damage). The last thing you see before the blessed darkness takes you is the creature beginning to envelop your legs to consume you...

=============

OOC: To determine if Asa survives, I applied Jeff Rient's save to escape the dungeon mechanic. Since these guys were on 2nd level and Asa is a 1st level character, he needed a 45% to escape. He rolled an 87. His fate... he was eaten by the gelatinous cube.

And we draw a final curtain on this adventure... Mr. Smith will no doubt be looking for new recruits to find out what happened to his lost party...
