Chicchan lifts his head up, apparently coming out of deep thought, and says, "I'll join you, Sam."

"Hopefully, it'll be easier to find a way down," Brother Bourgeois says, closing the door behind him and hefting his bag into his lap.

"I'll join you. Maybe having a Rabbi with you will help us get access?"

"I can't imagine just a few of us will draw too much attention, and maybe you're right Asa. A man of the cloth and all that," Sam replies. "Well, Lark, do you mind?"

Lark smiles, "Nope, don't mind at all. Maybe I'll take a look around the Museum while you investigate the basement. Give me a call on my cell phone when you find something."

Parking is $30 at all parking lots and it's an easy, but cold, walk up to the Museum itself.

Once there, where would you gents like to go? I'll note that it's extremely inadvisable to go into a public museum fully loaded - common sense would tell you that.

"I'm in too."

(OOC: I was taking a look at the Field Museum's information online. They have a general floor plan, but I don't really see any stairs into the basement. That's likely because the public isn't allowed there.)

"I suggest we just browse like any normal patron. We should be able to see elevators or stairs that'll go to the basement

(OOC: Is it permitted to be walking the grounds around the building? I can't really get a good idea of what the outside looks like.)

OOC-----Alright, let's step this up a bit. If the DM is bored, then we need to cut to the chase. I propose we give the DM the following plan.

Plan 1--We snoop around in the basement of the museum and find an access (hopefully not getting caught) AND this entrance to the tunnels can be accessed by us WITH all our equipment.

Plan 2--If Plan 1 is no go, then back to the taped door at the alley. Bring our equipment and get in there.

DM, give us an overview of what's going on and we'll just roll with it.

Also, let's decide on a caller for the group and try for one post per day min.

OOC: I'm for Plan 2. Even if we DO find an entrance into the tunnels from the museum basement, it would be extremely difficult for us to get down there with any gear!

I'm all for Alley and Quicker Entry.

(The taped door was in the front, facing Wabash. The only doors in the back were in view of the camera, which Brother said he avoided - then he moved to the arched door.)

(I have to agree with the taped door plan as well. Museums are filled with valuables and we'll look like thieves if we get caught, which itself is much more likely. If we get caught on the street, we'll just look like some heavily-armed weirdos up to mischief. It sounds like we have enough information from the tunnels site to use the Museum if we need to for getting out.)

OOC: I used to work for an art shipper and was in and out of museums all the time. Security is very tight with locked doors and gates, cameras and guards everywhere. You do not get into a freight entrance or secure basement area unless you belong there. We will be totally stretching the truth to do so if Michael's intention is to keep this that realistic.

I'll go with Plan 2 as well. We can do a walk-through of the museum to get an idea of where to access the basement, but that's about it. Using his research credentials, Sam can likely get in a bit further (without much gear) and maybe take one reputable looking person with him (Asa?) but any of the rougher looking guys are pretty unlikely

OOC: If we want our Fighting Men to keep their heat packed, Plan B's probably the way to go. But I'd say BB is flexible to whatever.

Act 1 closed. See Act 2.
