Good plan.

The dolm women are friendly (they view you as heroes for saving them from the snakes) and seem eager for stories of the outside world. Will you allow your troops to socialize with them, or order them to remain aloof?

The others can direct those under them...

Shade and his Deep One underling stand vigilant watch over Andre the Gigantosaurus.

The dolm women are fawning over the three Quarry Brothers who so bravely rescued their sister Flora from the snake's belly by shielding her from harm with their muscular green bodies. The boys have a rugged charm, friendships are made, and soon there is a conspiracy underfoot to build a bonfire tonight, invite some girls out from the village, and throw a party.

Fated can indicate the behavior of his 6 jale men in absentia. How do they conduct themselves around the ladies? What about Breath's crew?

Gunnery's troops are disciplined and ignore the distraction, their sights trained on the horizon. Minion's bone men kind of creep the girls out, so they maintain a respectful distance.

Fated's men are a bunch of seductive dandies. They like a good time, but style counts for points just as much as results. They are merciless cockblockers, among themselves and with outsiders.

[What is Fated after from the old chick? I'm on the road and haven't been able to keep up with all the threads.]

Two of your dinosaurs--Andre the Gigantosaurus and Little Brother the Brontosaurus--have been struck down by titanocobra venom. Breath's creepy bone lady had a few suggested cures, but Fated is a man of action who can't be bothered with the details! The Crone has a reputation as an herbalist, healer, and spiritual leader; maybe she can help with some kind of antivenin or shamanic mumbo-jumbo?

Breath and her two henchwomen Fighters will be civil, but not overtalkative. The two Specialists are more open to general rumour and chatting.

The dinosaurs form a defensive ring and the riders settle in to watch the horizon. The dolm women are amused by the competition between Fated's men and the Quarry Brothers for their affection.

(Wandering monster check...)

The party is STARTLED by an explosive BOOM immediately overhead! (Many d6's are rolled...) Minion jerks in alarm and drops his howdah pistol over the railing! The following henchmen drop their weapons too: 1 of Breath's fighters, 1 of Fated's men, 1 of Minion's men, and the one-handed Deep One.

A flying saucer materializes in the low atmosphere! It's trailing smoke and flame and spiraling out of control. Moments before it crashes into the bay and explodes into a floating inferno on the water, (1d12) 4 paratroopers leap free and drift down into the marshland to your west.

The dinosaurs panic and stampede! Thankfully, nobody is trampled, but it takes 2 rounds to bring them under control, during which time you lose your bead on the parachuting creatures and don't see exactly where they land; somewhere between your position and the water to the left...

"O Crone of the Flower of Sublime Wisdom," greets Festive Dolm-woman, bowing to kiss her guru's feet. "This is the Man I told you of, who saved us from the giant snakes."

The medicine woman is seated on a tatami mat inside her grass hut. Her home is completely bare and undecorated save for a cascade of quipus hanging from every beam and rafter.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quipu

The shriveled dolm matriarch looks up at Fated with her cataract-covered eyes, and her voice is a wise whisper directly into his mind:

SPEAK, MAN

"Now that's something you don't see everyday!" Breath exclaims.

"We should send out a small party to see if they require assistance, or recover any loot, as the case may be. I shall take my Henchwomen with me, anyone else care to join us?"

Breath can borrow some of Minion and/or Gunnery's men if she requires additional backup. Is she proceeding on foot or dino-back?

She'll ride with her two Specialists on Junior, the two Fighters will walk alongside on foot. She won't take any of Minion or Gunnery's men.

"Look at this." Gunnery invites Shade onto Big Daddy's back to peer through the radio cannon's telescopic sight.

The crash site is a floating slick of oil and debris. It burns with flames of ulfire, jale, and other colors not of this world.

Meanwhile about a mile west of camp, Breath spies the shredded remains of an enormous orange parachute hanging from a tree. The harness dangling from it is not designed for a paratrooper of human size, or even of humanoid shape! The grass under the tree is crushed, and there is a 5-10' wide trail leading west into the swampiest area of the marsh. The track is a continuous swath of flattened vegetation, as opposed to distinct prints as would be left by a creature with feet/paws. When the track encounters an obstacle such as a log or stone, it disappears and reappears on the other side, 10 or 20' feet beyond.

Will Breath follow the mysterious trail deeper into the marsh?

Fated: "Hail, Respected One. I will not call you "Crone," for such a word does disservice to the ample charms you deploy. I may call you "Gilf," a term among my people of great affection for a woman of uniquely long experience and robust vigor.

Fated thinks to himself, very loudly: "I hope she doesn't notice that I am smitten with her beauty."
