The Shadow knods his head in agreement. Once Servitor is on the rail, The Shadow will mount the rail, as well, and slowly make his way down the tunnel on top of the rail.

Servitor is first to hop up on the narrow rail. (d20=8)<(Dex 9+AC 2) He makes it past the disturbance no problem, followed closely by the nimble Mirthful Doomed (d20=2)<(Dex 13+AC7).
Next comes The Shadow. But (d20=15)>(Dex 7+AC 2) it is tough going in such heavy armor; The Shadow teeters then topples into the murky water with a great clatter!
The Shadow's headlamp flies off and is extinguished by the water... He prepares to shriek in terror as he is devoured by tentacles (or worse) but... nothing happens! You feel the cool and murky water lapping at your skin, but otherwise, all is still.
The Sovereign Mask of All Who See is immediately behind and instinctively shines his headlamp in the direction of his half-submerged companion. From his vantage point atop the rail, it is plain to see the rippling and churning of the water is not caused by some foul beast, but rather by turbulence as some of the water is diverted into several small cracks in the wall. It appears the masonry of this tunnel section is not as sturdy as the rest of the tunnel, in fact there is one section where the bricks aren't even mortared together, just loosely stacked one on top of the other.

THE EYE OF THUNDERA moves to the unmortared bricks and examines them closely. He looks to see if he can see anything between the cracks, such as light. He will also search to see if there is a sign of recent passage through this 'hole'.

The Shadow stands up in the water, shakes his head slowly at his clumsiness, and tries to find his headlamp to see if it can be salvaged. If not, he'll try to examine the wall more closely (with light assistance from someone else, of course).

The Shadow's headlamp seems to be out of commission until the wick dries out and the fuel reservoir refilled. Fortunately there are enough other lights to investigate the shoddy workmanship. There is a slight breeze blowing out from the cracks between the bricks, a stench of mold and decay. The area in question is about the height and width of a man. Closer inspection reveals bloody handprints on several of the bricks.

Thaimos investigates the bloody handprints with obvious trepidation, moving toward them to get a better look. He looks up and down the corridor to see if the handprints form a trail of some sort...

Some of the hand prints are partial, extending only to the edge of the brick, as though the bricks were bloodied before the wall was assembled. The blood appears quite fresh.

Removing the bricks is easy work due to their loose fit, however you get halfway down and the remaining bricks topple with a loud clatter!
Looking through the opening you see a narrow, rough-hewn tunnel carved into the stone, leading off to the south. A few yards ahead, there is a manhole-sized floor grate through which the water drains, beyond that, the tunnel appears relatively dry.

Thaimos peers down the newly-opened tunnel. "Well, this passageway would be more to my liking (i.e., not as wet), but I'm not sure that it would lead us to the Bone Woman," he says. "I'd love to know what those bloody handprints are." He fidgets nervously.
