Rocky smiles at Sean behind the bar and suddenly his eyes light up with malice. "I likes ta smash up as much as the next guy, but seeing as these here lugs caused me some pain, I think THEY should be doin the hard work"

He pulls his knife on the fatty and motions toward the now empty room. "get to smashing!"

He then asks Sean to toss him a drink.

McCorkle grins appreciatively at Rocky's idea. He gestures encouragingly with the sawed-off at the nearest Tolino mobster, then pulls out a lovely bottle of whisky he spotted earlier, passing it to Rocky.

With his left hand, that is; he still has the right wrapped around the sawed-off, with his finger on the trigger of the unfired barrel...

Brian's enjoying himself now, and continues smashing away :).

Gaitano's Club; 2:23 am; Saturday, September 17, 1927; Lakefront City, Wisconsin

The O'Connor's have themselves a good time for about 15 minutes; smashing up the place; forcing the two Tolino torpedoes to do some of the dirty work themselves; knocking back some booz themselves and then hurling the glasses or mugs into the corners of the bar; etc.

After about ten minutes of this; "Wheels" comes to and slowly gets to his feet; amidst the good-natured razzing of his fellows. A few minutes after that though; the sound of voices can be heard coming from just outside the rear door of the speakeasy. Sean immediately recognizes the weasley voice of the bartender who fled from him earlier...

"Yeah; they're definitely O'Connors allright...maybe 5 or 6 of 'em; they gots knives and bats and what-not...oh, and one of them stole my shotgun!" "Yeah, yeah...outta da' way runt; things are about to get interestin' wit dis type-writer and Louie's riot gun 'dere." "Try not to smash up the place too much!" "Too late for dat!"

The O'Connors can tell that there's at least two men out back with the bartender; and they immediately remember that one Louis "Louie-the-lug" Luca is a noted trigger-man frequently employed by the Tolino mob who loves to use pump-action shotguns in his hits; and that 'typewriter' is what some gangsters call Thompson Submachine guns....

Sean McCorkle hustles toward the back door, covering it with the last barrel of the shotgun.

"Sure and you'll be startin' for the car," he calls over his shoulder. "But you'll be coverin' me while you do it."

Brian pulls out his .45 from his waistband, and releases the safety.

"Yeah, we're not here to get into a gunfight, especially when we're outgunned! Let's get moving!" He runs for the front door, and takes a quick look outside to see if the Tolino's are coming at us from both sides.

If he sees any Tolinos, he'll threaten them to drop their weapons or he'll shoot (which he will). Otherwise, he'll turn around and aim at the back door. "OK, you're covered, now come on!" he'll call to Sean.

Sean covers the Tolinos until he gets to the front door. As long as nobody's bothering him, he'll smile and give them a brief wave before exiting.

Question: Is there a substantial stock of glassware or bottles or something nearby? Seems a shame to waste this entire other barrel...

Rocky reluctantly turns to go, tossing the remaining booze at the wall. He then takes one look at the unstable Wheels and takes the car keys from him. "You're in no state to drive, see. Just hand em over." With that Rocky will leave the building. "Alright youse guys, lets get to the wheels."

Gaitano's Club; 2:25 am; Saturday, September 17, 1927; Lakefront City, Wisconsin

Sean cuts loose a blast from the unfired barrel of his shotgun into a pile of whiskey bottles that had spilled out of a crate the O'Connors had tossed to the side while busting up the speakeasy. Alchohol and glass exploded everywhere...

Rocky manuvers the still dazed 'Wheels' McGuire towards the front door; deftly slipping the car keys into his hand as the O'Connors beat a hasty retreat from the club as the two heavily-armed Tolino hitmen burst through the back-door....

Brian's .45 spits hot lead at the triggermen; causing them to duck down for a moment; and McMurphy yells out; "Let's go lads! Time to beat feet!" He follows his own advice; ducking out of the club right after McCorkle just as the interior o the speakeasy echoes with the thunderous sounds of a pump-action shotgun and a Tommy-Gun on full-auot cutting loose....

The four O'Connors; laughing half in a combination of adrenaline-fueled fear and excitement cause smoke to screech off the tires of the car as little Rocky; his vision barely over the steering wheel; manages to get the car hurtling down the alley and with a tight turn onto the all-but-deserted streets; begins the journey back to O'Connor held turf...

Brain spends the next few days using the success of the raid as in inroad to schmooze with more members of the O'Connor gang. In the process, he picks up a couple more skills.

Rocky was not pleased with the reception and lack of respect he got from the fatty he cut up. Maybe a bigger gun might compensate for Rocky's lack of height. A Tommy gun just feels right.
Also, he heard all the snickering coming from the back seat during the get away, and he will now spend some time practicing some high risk driving tasks in order to impress next time. Maybe spend some time getting a booster seat...or just raising the seat.
