Flandil is mainly interested in the old parchment. He carefully opens the scroll the peruse its contents.

He reads

"CURSED IS HE WHO THIS SCROLL SEES
FOR HE WILL GET WASTING DISEASE"

He starts to feel ill - he needs to make a saving throw! He rolls an 11, fails and breaks out into virulent purple spots and feels very weak. The disease will likely be fatal!

I think you must be 6th level to have cure disease; it is a 3rd-level cleric spell

Can we taste the potion to try to determine what it is? (I don't have a lot of experience with potions in your game.)

I'm hoping it can do something about the curse, but I'm not sure if there is such a potion.

@William - you can often get a clue about the potion from a sip. Would it help? Who knows...

@Patronus - I see two chances; give 13000 xp of treasure to William so he can hit level 6, or drag Flandil back to town and hope the clerics there can save him

Hmm, we only need to give William 11720 GP, he should also get about 100 XP from monsters (plus 10%), so we could trim his share a bit. If we go this route, we should look at some other critical folks to give bump to. We should make sure Carrington gets another 800 XP or so. No one else is really close, though with more even distribution of treasure, Jariel has a good chance of making 4th. Jariel needs 2905 GP + monster XP to make 4th fighter (10% bonus will carry him over). Gallaine needs 2381 (plus 5%) to make 2nd MU. Any of the henchmen could bump a level if they were given a modest share of treasure.

Can anyone give us a guess at the value of the jewelry?

And what is the silver to gold and copper to gold exchange?

I will come up with some amended proposals tomorrow. If we get 30k for the jewelry, that will mean 4k or so each for the rest of us besides William if my quick in my head numbers are good.

Oh, and are any of the henchmen/hirelings getting shares, or are they all paid out of their PC's share?
