Do any party members carry a 10 foot pole? If not, is there one close by in the rubble? Seems like a room that is ideal for poking around with one.

No ten foot pole AFAIK, but if I'm wrong I am sure someone will pipe up

As for Kell, his spidey-sense unfortunately was not good enough this time. As William gets to the body, 1-foot long iron spikes jab up through the floor. He gets skewered by three of them for 15 damage! They then sink back into the floor.

Flandil himself staggers as the spikes shoot up through William. "It's a death trap, get back!", he says completely unnecessarily and unhelpfully.

Kell curses and reaches for William to pull him back from the body and out of the room.

"Um, okay, OW!" William says. He helps Kell drag himself away from the trap.

Then he starts to tend to his wounds. He'll start with a good old fashioned Cure Light Wounds, and follow up with bandages and such.

"Who was it that can fly?" Kell asks the group, "One of you can, I think. Could you fly through the room and see if you can disable the trap for the rest of us?"

"That particular incantation is not one I have prepared for today. Perhaps we should head back and try this room another day." Flandil replies.

Can Yhency tell where the spikes came out from? Perhaps this is a trap we can overcome by a little ingenuity.

[OOC; folks, I have some real life responsibilities that come before gaming right now. I've discussed it privately with Mako, and decided to "retire" Gallaine for now. So...]

Gallaine backs cautiously away from the trap room and, when the dust settles, declares; "This is too much for this little elf,"

She draws the green sword a declares "My adventuring days are done, I fear, I must return to Wildwood to sing and drink and be merry for a decade or two before I come to an unpleasant end. If anyone desires greatly to visit Wildwood with impossible haste, say so... now."

Gallaine waits a moment for any passengers, then wishes any remaining farewell and kisses the blade with closed eyes are returns herself, any passengers, her steed and her share of the loot instantly to her home in Wildwood via teleport. Once returned, she goes in search of a bath and an excellent bottle of wine...

[OOC; good luck all; I'll check in occasionally to see how it's going :)]

Flandil: "Indeed, we know two locations where there are spikes, but the unknown is if there are further trigger points. I shall remain here and endeavor to provide adequate illumination if any of you gentlemen wish to probe your enquiries further."

Patronus moves to the front and uses his rope and gapple to try and snag then drag one of the bodies toward us so that we can see if there are any other traps

He does so successfully, without the body setting off more traps
