Jaako stealthily slips his knife through the crack, and gingerly eases up the latch. Then he rapidly pushes the door open. Your lantern light spills into the room, alerting the surprised inhabitants. You see a large chamber, irregularly-shaped chamber with a channel running through it for the water that spills through the door. The water runs north then bends westward and disappears beneath an arch some distance away in the west wall. Lounging around, eating and drinking and talking, are eight more of the ebony-skinned men with the strangely bright eyes. The walls are teeming with large spiders - more than a dozen, you are sure.

Carlo fires an arrow at one of the spiders; he'll reload with a silver arrow and fire that at one of the werespiders (if he has time; if not, next round. And if he doesn't have time for that, he'll drop his bow (preferably out of the water!) and draw his silvered sword.

We have the spellcasters casting into the room, and Carlo shooting into the room. Remember you are in a single file hallway right now - there are going to be some traffic jam problems if you all stand where you are

If there's no room for Ozmar to rush from the back of the party to the front where he can throw some oil, then he'll simply stand ready with his magic flail, keep an eye on the rear, and prepare to either advance into the spider room or withdraw back into the main east-west tunnel- depending on what the rest of the party does.

The black-skinned men sit and stare, astonished, as a little mud man runs into their midst, and then explodes, showering them with mud. Five of the men keel over, asleep. Before the other three can react, a white flare escapes from Valandil's hand and then bursts into the shape of a tiny fairy, who waves her magic wand once, twice, thrice, and the three remaining men topple over asleep. She winks at the party, then winks out of existence. There are still swarms of spiders on the wall, ceiling and floors, and Carlo shoots at one but misses.
The party is jammed up at the entrance, and spiders are sure to start attacking soon. What are your plans?

"HAVE AT THEM!" Brother Ozmar urges. If the party start moving into the spider room, he'll run in and start braining the sleeping werespiders with the magic flail.

Carlo will go with the plan B: Drop the bow and draw the sword; start swinging on the spiders.
Can I get into the room, too, so I have the space to swing? That'll ease up pressure on my comrades, so they can fight as well. I do realize it will allow more spiders to get at me, but that's the price you pay.

Val will push into the room as well, in order to allow more of his comrades room to operate. He will draw out his flask of oil and look for a mass of spiders to cast the container into.
