I don't mean to sound callous, but is there any particular reason we don't just kill the lot of them?
How about we random him back for loads of gold? Or we get land?
Killing him won't get us much (other than his magic items)... presumably someone else will rise up to fill the void left by his absence... or come after us?

"Perhaps charming him or his men at the right moment to tell others of the glorious recovery of floating sword might serve their usefulness," says Carrington, "Though I doubt we could ever convince Hargor to be anything other than a thorn in our side, I won't condone the execution of a prisoner."

"Would you be so kind as to remove our prisoner's enchanted vestments?" Gallaine asks Carrington, casually.
Then she tells Hargor with disapproval, "You Sir, are a vulgar cad and a bore, and I do not appreciate your language."
She slowly, meaningfully draws The Green Sword from its sheathe, allowing Hargor to get an eye-full of it.
"I warn you now, Sir, should you swear at me again, I shall transfigure you into a rotten little grub as you truly are, and keep you in a glass jar until such time as I come upon a broiling nest of ants..."
[She waits until Hargor is relieved of any magic protections he might have...]
Even stripped of his items, he is charming. He tells her to $%^$^% herself

"Alas poor Hargor," Gallaine shakes her head and then looks meaningfully at him down the blade of the green sword...

A green beam comes out of gallaine's sword, and hargor is changed to a grub the size of her thumb. The grub starts to swear in a high, tiny voice: "Change me back you ^*&^ elf *(7864%$#%$%!"

"When you learn some manners we might speak again," she tell it.
Then Gallaine captures the Hargor grub in her coin purse, secures it tightly so that he cannot escape, and ties it to her belt.
"What else shall we do today?" she asks the others, as if nothing had happened.
