If we're going to wait a week, which does make a certain amount of sense, we might try one more attempt to get into the crypt.

Gallaine greets Mifren, and searches for a friendly riding horse. If she locates one with whom she seems to get on, she will buy him/her, plus saddle, harness and saddle bags. She will name her mount once she sees its colour, style, and personality.

Is Yhency willing to wait a week, or does he desire to head off right now? Flandil, are you comfortable with leaving right now, knowing we won't return until a week or more after your spell book is ready? Anyone else have a strong opinion either way?

I'm fine with going now, as long as we return back after we get the sword.

Before the party leaves, Kell wants to buy a horse/cart, pony/cart or mule/cart. Dwarves aren't good riders, but they can sit down with the best of the races! Besides, having a cart to haul supplies and treasure in might be a good idea.

OOC: Did Gallaine find a suitable horse?

Ok, sounds like once we're all finished purchasing horses and carts and such, we are ready to leave (assuming we can all acquire the things we need).

I don't think Williams has a horse. Pony yes, but horse no. How much would it cost to get a team (2) of draft horses and a wagon? That way, the guys and I could all ride.

Gallaine likes two horses - a friendly bay mare with a white fetlock, and a feisty chestnut stallion. Which would she like?

Since you would probably set off the next day (not the day you do all your shopping) would it make sense to try a foray down the secret stairs this evening. If all goes well, Kell will level and you will have more cash.

Gallaine speaks soothingly to each of them in Elvish and tries to handle them in the horse-sellers yards. I.e., walk and trot them around a circle in a stall. From this she hopes to learn whether the horses are lazy or energetic, responsive or unresponsive to her instruction, lame or fit, etc. Assuming they will cost (approximately) the same, she will buy which ever horse performs the better. If they are both good, she will choose the mare...
