Flandil keeps a careful ear out for any signs of some goblins sneaking up on the party from behind.

"Why an elf or goblin? If its that smoky our eyes will be just as useless as yours." ((OOC: I would assume smoke, being warm, would also obstruct infravision?))

"It is likely they know we are here now. We had best make haste to the gold before it is too late!"

She pulls an arrow from her quiver and draws it ready against her bowstring.

You can either go in the kitchen or retrace your steps back to the cube area and pick a different door

Plus, like I said earlier, Flandil wants to check out the secret lever room again to make sure no goblins have been in there while we were gone and released the cube. Maybe it would be best to spike the door shut? Flandil has no spikes though...))

You spike shut the door to the kitchen. You go W then S then turn W as you head back to the lever control room. As you open the door, you see the secret door on the opposite wall swing shut, and from the north door you can see a shimmering, clear mass of gelly that fills the entire doorway (and beyond), just starting to squeeze into the room

Gunther shrieks, "The cube! It has been released! Don't let it touch you!" He fires a crossbow bolt at it, then flees to leave room for the party's tougher fighters to battle it.

((OOC: Flandil meant we should spike the door to the lever room, not to the kitchen. But it's William's spikes so I'm not sure what he had in mind ;D))

Flandil probably cannot see this as yet (he is at the back of the party) but once the information is relayed back to him by Gunther he coughs ostentatiously.

"It seems our only hope now will be to return to the kitchen and find some food to distract the foul jelly."

I meant to spike the door Flandil suggested. I apologize if I caused any confusion.

Okay, I'm a bit lost here. The cube is going north. Can we get to the door in the same row as the kitchen (the one immediately to the right of the words "ramp up" on the map) and spike that one shut, too? Because then we'll have the foul thing trapped and can go on and get the treasure.

Or have I completely missed what's going on?
