"I think we need to get in there and stop any such cooking whatsoever!" William whispers urgently, just as soon as he is informed of the subject of the argument.

If you want, you can have up to two people try and open the door (the door like all doors in the dungeon or on the surface above the dungeon) is likely to be stuck. Each character has a 1-2 on d6 chance to open a stuck door. You can try multiple times, but lose the possibility of surprise if the first attempt fails. Since you know the orcs are there, you can't be surprised.

Providing the doors open outwards, Flandil will help pull open the doors (so that he can remain using one door as cover while the figher-types attack ;D).

Emilio readies his dagger. If he has a clear shot from his location in the middle/rear of the party once the door opens, he'll fling it at an ork. If he can't be sure of not hitting a comrade then he'll hold his fire.

Ok, first attempt to open doesn't succeed. The orcs are almost certainly alerted at this point.

How do you wish to proceed?

Put two people on the door and try again. Anyone with missiles, stand by with them, but the rest of us should be ready for melee.

The guys up top aren't going to stay asleep for long, anyway, so we're about to be stuck in.

(William offers up a quick prayer for success.)

Ok, Flandil and Freddie heave the door open.

Yael, Zaranno, William and Emilio let fly with various missiles, killing an orc dressed in skins and wielding a crooked staff and wounding one warrior orc. Freddie's net somewhat entangles the orc nearest him. The orcs step swing wildly ad Flandil and Freddie missing them.

Mechanics:
Initiative: Orcs 5, party 4
Yael 18 (hit) damage 4 (orc dies) Zaranno 3 (miss) Emilio 7 (miss) William 17 (hit) damage 4 damage (orc wounded) Freddie 11 (hit) effect roll 1 (minor, orc will be -1 to hit)
Orc @Freddie 3 (miss) Orc @Flandil 7 (miss) Orc @Freddie 8 (miss)

If you wish to engage the orcs, three of you (assuming no 2-handed weapons) may step into the doorway.

"DON'T KILL THE ONE ON THE LEFT!" Emilio instructs his comrades.

"El halooo ka-hi rapatu"
Emilio intones as he twinkles his fingers in the leftmost orc's direction.

(Emilio casts charm person on the left most orc)

Who is available to get into melee? If we don't have enough fighters, William will drop his sling, draw his mace, and move in. But I'd rather be in support...

Zaranno (though we haven't heard from codeman since "join up" - I did missile fire for him but it might not be a good idea to shove him into melee), Yael.

I assume Flandil would prefer to hang back (lightly armored).

Fine. Then William will go into melee, like I said.

I'm going to follow up on the one I wounded, if possible. But I'm avoiding the one on the left.

Ok, wounded one is on the right, entangled one is on the left (I need to come up with a quick way to do those little diagrams makofan does...)

Hmm, let me try, that will give people a bit more time to respond, though I think I have enough to start the next round.

FReddie will take the one that is entangled (using sword and dagger as he has no shield)
