From Desmond's background story...

Personally, if I was a two-headed halfling in a room of such people, I probably would have just stayed behind Gustave until shed left. But I think approaching the Mother Superior with his request is appropriate to Desmond's personality...

Okay folks, I have finally got around to updating the party statistics.
It has taken me a while because I wanted to solve the age old problem of having to keep the same information up to date in multiple places (i.e., on my PC, and also here on the forum -- in the horrible BBCode table syntax).
That problem is solved at last! I now need only maintain exactly one spreadsheet.
I have re-rolled hit points for all those players who are safely in town. Rufus, Wendel, Mads II, and Dugel are still underground, so their hp are unchanged.
Olaf is once more a level 1st fighter, but will (very probably) become a 2nd level once more overnight. He will be fully restored to 3rd level only after the abbey mission is completed.

Presumably Olaf, Dieter, Ulric, Gustave, Desmond, Highbough, Guntrum, Dorgan and Josiane will want to get started on either the basement job, or the abbey quest at first light tomorrow morning?

Dieter will vote for the abbey mission; it's the fastest way to get Olaf back where he belongs.
(Although he also thinks we should just pay the thousand, have the old broad restore Olaf fully, and then strike off on our own to find this abbey place. Then we'd be in a stronger position to negotiate a 'finder's fee' for the crap they want back...)

Out-of-character I am down for whatever.
In-character Highbough will need some convincing. Perhaps the party can appeal to his desire for knowledge and mystic secrets? (whenever he gets back from wherever he is...)

Ulric will still stick with his earlier recommendation of clearing the basement, hiring guards for the manse, and hiring some porters for the trip. Then of course purchasing the needed supplies for the four plus day expedition. All this should be done first. Let's not wander off into the wilderness to starve (again) and leave our home unsecured.

Danhem makes a valid point about securing our manse.
I'm fine with that, as well, if we might mount the expedition rather quickly. Obviously we can't do it this evening, with a bunch of nuns running around, though.

Olaf agrees with Dieter, but he's not in a position to say so IG because I sure as heck doesn't want to piss off the Mother.
He is also of the opinion that clearing the basement doesn't matter all that much if we aren't going to be upstairs. Go deal with the quest, then when we get back we can clean the basement and maybe the tombs as well.
