Ray Bradbury died yesterday at the age of 91.

It's funny, for some reason I had assumed he had been dead for quite a few years. The sci-fi books I read of his were written so long ago I must have subconsciously thought "There is no way this author is still alive".

91 is a pretty good age to depart, though. Most of us will not live to reach such such a length in years.

And the really sad part is, if we do, I could bet we won't see a future anything like it was envisioned by Ray Bradbury and the SF giants of his era. It's going to be much darker, duller and poorer than that. :-/
