The ceiling and walls appear to have been mined out of near solid stone. Whoever wanted to create an opening here, went through a lot of work to make it this, specific spot.

Checking the outsides of the crates for traps, [2d6=3] (low is good for thief rolls, remember) Actæa stumbles upon none. They appear to be no more than wooden crates--at least on the outside.

She then moves to the wooden door, beyond beyond which she is able to hear the sounds of dull whispers and softly clanging metal. Whoever is out there isn't far off. Perhaps the sounds of the battle have alerted the cultists to your presence.

Actæa moves back to join the others. "Company on the other side of the door," she whispers; "and it sounds like they're expecting us. Perhaps a similar plan to our last?" A cool stare at Adrastos; "assuming everyone can remember it this time..?"

"Sounds good to me. Lead them this way, and I'll cleave their skulls!" says Yngvar

Magne looks confused. He whispers, "So we wait here in closet and fight them there? Or make them go back into the hallway?"

Alexandro grasps his dagger at the handle and forms a tight fist, free hand held close to the solar plexus to protect vital areas. Dropping into triangle stance (front foot forward, rear foot sideways), mouth a grim straight line, he makes ready to advance cautiously to battle.

"If you could elaborate on this plan I would be indebted to you," he says to Actaea. "I was, um, otherwise engaged at the time you burst in."

Actæa smiles sweetly at Yngvar; "Assuming you can remember it this time?" she purrs...

OOC: Sorry, guys. Sarcasm is VERY her... ;)

Yngvar shrugs. "No plan survives first contact. Whatever comes within range of my axe will be killed, simple as that."

(ooc: no problem; Yngvar only cares about cleaving skulls and getting loot; he'll put up with a lot if those things happen! ;D)

"Then I suggest we attempt an ambush in the hall where we rescued Alexandro," Actæa whispers; "Say, two ranks of missile fire, one kneeling, one standing behind? One other to draw our foe out, then duck to the side when the others fire? I would act as the bait, but my lack of armour makes me wary of placing myself directly before an armed and ready foe. Perhaps someone else would care for that honour, say - oooo, Adrastos or Yngvar, perhaps..?

Brennus will stand in the 2nd rank (standing behind) of missile fire.

Alexandro cocks his head. "I do have a spell that could be useful in such circumstances. It allows me to make my voice appear to emanate from someplace else. Perhaps that could serve to draw them out?"

Boro nods to Actæa's suggestions. "Although I do not have heavy armor, I have no trouble opening the door and drawing them out. Besides, I have no weapons to use from a distance besides my dagger. Aim well and be prepared for me to attack the wounded from behind."

Actæa takes her place beside Brennus... and then looks around at all the mighty warriors nodding their heads in agreement with her plan while brandishing their melee weapons. "Of course, more than one bow and one crossbow might make my strategy more effective," she sighs. "Perhaps a flanking attack stationed on either side of the door..?"

"I think I'll wait behind the archers," motions Turin.

Faryd nods and says, "Agreed--this is not what I signed up for."

"You'd rather serpents and Set worshippers at our back on our return?" growls Actæa , giving them a full view of her dour, disapproving mask.

Then more gently; "If you would simply keep quiet, provide us light and stay out of the way of swords..?"
