Actæa ducks out of the doorway and reloads, scanning the corridor for any approaching threat.

Magne points his halberd at the man with the obsidian dagger and simply says, "Surrender."

Brennus readies another arrow, but holds his shot to see how the stranger responds to Magne's ultimatum.

Adrastos will move in to prevent the last figure from escaping and point his much bloodied blade at him and declare, "Your move."

Boro also levels his blade at the man with dagger, ready to attack at the first aggressive sign.

Yngvar hefts his axe and gives Obsidian Blade Cultist a menacing glare. "You heard them. Surrender or die!"

OOC: The looks to be quite unanimous.

The hooded man holds his obsidian threateningly, but slowly lets it sink down to side. "By set! I am finished." The man quickly brings the dagger to his throat and slices through his jugular, severing the artery. A steady flow of crimson drips through the woven cloak as he slowly slides to the ground.

Boro says, "No doubt the fool's demon god welcomes him to hell." He the turns to Alexandro. "And how did you fall in with such vile company?"

Brennus is uneasy and keeps holding his bow in the 'ready' position.

(ooc: that was fun!)

Yngvar keeps an eye on the two doors in the room, in case we get more "guests."

"What should we do with these bodies? I won't pay out good coin to bless their foul souls, but we don't want them rising again like those we fought in the tunnel. Ye gods how I hate the undead!"

Actæa slips quietly into the room, pulling off her helm as she moves to examine the statue for anything that speaks of traps or concealment. Once this is done she moves carefully to the doors, listening for any sound then examining them for any form of trap.

She pauses briefly in her endeavours to bob a curtsey and flash a mischievous smile at Alexandro. "I trust my lord is unharmed as well as unclad?"

Alexandro rubs his eyes and stares ruefully at Actaea. "Unnerved, mostly." He casts a glance around looking for his gear. "I came seeking a certain tome, The Porethio, said to be in this group's possession. Regrettably, the hunter became the hunted, stripped naked and chained up to be this cult's next sacrifice." He stands, and walks around the bodies of the cultists, eyes peeled for the book they possessed.

On first examination, there does not appear to be any traps or even any moveable parts to speak of on the ghoul statue. Nor is there sound emanating through the cracks of wood in the left doorway. However, when Actæa places her ear to the boards of the right door, she is able to hear a soft hissing sound from within.

Brennus draws his sword and plunges it into the head of the nearest dead cultist, destroying the brain.

"Alexandro, I am Brennus Onchu of Gael, bodyguard. Stay close to me, and I'll do my best to get you out alive, although lately my success rate is not good..."

Boro, satisfied with Alexandro's answer, turns to looting the bodies of the cultists, searching for anything valuable or noticably unusual. In the process, he strips off one of the robes and holds it out to Alexandro. "While in the pits we do not shy from nakedness, no doubt your lack of attire here is embarrassing the lady. This will cover you until you can find your own things."
