Hrahyosh answers Do'olnar's question by striking out on the same side toward the left quietly adding, "No reason to cross the cut while the path is clear on this side and there are no openings within sight on either side."

(So everyone agree to going left upstream?

Yep.)

Issa remains silent, watching the water. She nods in agreement with the notion of finding another exit to the surface.

Yes upstream. At least until we find another tunnel.

Seems like a sound idea. Upstream it is.

"Well if you are all in agreement that we are to be cowards, I suppose I must be a coward also," says Teregash. "Upstream it is."

Hrahyosh grumbles quietly in Pechani without looking back or taking his attention off the task at hand.

Well, said, Trinesh. Aside from the standard careful checking, I'll keep and eye on the water babbling beside me. The warrior babbling behind me, I'll ignore.

After a good 5 minutes walking "upstream" the party comes to end of the tunnel. Or rather, their progress is impeded by several tons worth of masonry, earth and rock. This part of the passage appears to have collapsed a long time ago. The water that flows down the channel is trickling down trough small gaps and fissures forming small rivulets and waterfalls.

Removing the debris seems humanly possible but it would require more bodies, tools and time than the adventurers have available. Still, that water must come from, and flow to, somewhere.

Nelá (Well), Trin, if we are quite finished walking upstream, possibly we should try DOWNSTREAM, né (is that not so)?

I'll return on the opposite side, searching that side for secret doors, etc.

Well, that makes it easy. Hrahyosh remarks, "Better we know what's behind us than not. Downstream it is."

Do'olnar stops and points to the right.

Pa! Another tunnel! Now we may.... Do'olnar visibly recognizes the tunnel we emerged from.

Possibly we should start mapping when we come to something other non-linear?

Note that the red here indicates his face.

Since I have not been, and it would be good to know what we are under, I'll start counting paces. If I can find a thread or tease a strand from the rope, I'll tie a knot for each hundred paces.
