 Chainmail Alert on Ebay!
« Thread Started on Mar 5, 2012, 12:24pm »

One new and in shrink wrap! Just $90 and it is yours! *

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll....#ht_500 wt_1413

3rd edition. not sure which printing. So it may or may not have Balrogs and Hobbits. Apparently in the original shrink wrap so it is well preserved! ;D

John

*I am not the seller and am not shilling for anyone. Just passing it along.

I'd have to say this seller has an inflated idea of value (especially looking at his other listings), though of course it's worth what someone's willing to pay...

If it's overpriced, nobody will bid on it. Problem solved.

If somebody bids on it, it's not overpriced.

Thanks.

Doesn't mean ** I ** will bid on the silly thing, though.

(I DO wish I'd bought the PDF when it was legally available. I have a hardcopy, but... )

It'll sell. I've seen non-shrinkwrapped later printings go for $70.

He has about 20 of them at that price, if he can find a seller at that price, he'll be stoked. His prices are high, pretty much across the board, that's why selection is good, it doesn't move very fast.

Priced for collectors. I think I paid about $20 for mine but that was more than 10 years ago. They are becoming rare as hens teeth.

I got a shrinkwrapped Chainmail (later printing without Hobbits) for $13.

Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight?

A man may do both. For not we but those who come after will make the legends of our time. The green earth, say you? That is a mighty matter of legend, though you tread it under the light of day! —J.R.R. Tolkien
