 Fire & Ice

Just watched this flick for the first time (it's available instant on NetFlix) and saw lots of crossover territory with CARCOSA. Geoffrey, was Fire & Ice any sort of inspiration for you?

Also, Thomas Kinkade was a background artist on this film!!!

I remember watching that movie last year, it probably was the best use of rotoscope I've ever seen.

Yeah, there's some really neat facial expressions/body language that comes through that you just don't get with CG animation.

Also interesting to consider that this was a PG film when it was released, now I'm certain it would be an R. We've let the tut-tutters get final word on our movies.

Maybe not R, but PG-13, no doubt.

If you don't have NetFlix, it's serialized on YouTube:

Ralph Bakshi animation + Frank Frazetta art direction = no gratuitous titties?

I ran and re-ran the numbers, and it don't add up! How can it not have any gratuitous titties?!? :o

It's a shocking omission. I think Robert Rodriguez is attached to a remake, if his version also doesn't have boobs then we might have to admit that we are on some sort of divergent parallel Earth.
