BHP Would LIke to Thank . . .
« Thread Started on Jun 6, 2011, 10:25am »

As some of you may be aware, I've turned the last of the manuscript for Delving Deeper. Though there is more work to do, I wanted to thank a few fellow gamers for their assistance with the project.

Thank you to Jason "Philotomy" Cone for allowing the adaptation of his combat sequence to Delving Deeper's mass combat system.

Another sincere thank you goes out to Paratime Design. Many of you are familiar with Tim "Turgenev" Hartin's work from DragonsFoot. If you are not, check it out! He offers commercial quality work under the Creative Commons License for non-commercial use. You may never have to draw another floorplan again!

And if you need maps for publication you will find Paratime to be fast, dependable, with reasonable rates.

Thanks to Austrodavicus (do you allow use of your real name?) for his tireless work, both as line editor and creative consultant to the author (that would be me).

Thanks to John "Coleston" Adams for the opportunity to help preserve the legacy. I can say nothing more specific than that but y'all know what I mean.

Thanks to Finarvyn for providing a place for folks who love this version of the rules to get together and talk about new ideas, as well as explore old ones.

And, last but by no means least, thanks to Matt "Mythmere" Finch for blazing the new-old trail for the rest of us copy-cats to humbly follow behind.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the amazing (and I do mean "amazing") artwork for Delving Deeper FRPG by Marjasall. The images he has conjured up are iconic in much the same way the Monster Manual art for OAD&D are iconic ... the art just feels right! Thank you, Mark!

Other publishers: you will be very happy with Marjasall's professionalism and work ethic. If you need art, do yourself a favor and commission this talented artist.

No worries Cameron, you can mention my real name - David Macauley (aka Greyharp). It's been a great pleasure working with this crew. :)

Oh and verhaden needs to be added to the list for taking over formatting duties after John's life got chaotic; Dan Proctor for enthusiastic encouragement; and Rob Conley for linking his Blackmarsh setting to DD right at the start, before it had even been written.

(face-palm) Of course! Thanks, Verhaden! Your work as layout editor is much appreciated.

So you did, thanks for the reminder. A man I knew who did quite a bit of public speaking once told me to beware of public thank you's for this very reason: you always forget somebody!

Thanks to Dan Proctor for his advice and the use of his OEC material.

And big thanks to Rob Conley for his amazing campaign setting.

If I've missed anyone, chalk it up to my being overworked and underloved, not to malice!

This is one of the things I'm looking forward to seeing the most in the DD set. I loved the covers in BH's white box set, including the subtle references to the past (1ed PH idol head on one cover and the same torch from Otis' Basic cover on another). Great stuff!
